The shirt of Les Bleus tells a story every French fan knows by heart: 1998 and the night of 12 July, 2006 and Zidane's last match, 2018 and the second star. Here you will find authentic vintage France shirts, selected one by one, from Zidane to Griezmann. Most of them are one-offs: once a shirt is gone, it does not come back.

The history of France shirts, tournament by tournament

The Adidas years, from 1998 to 2010

  • 1998: the home World Cup and a 3-0 final win over Brazil, with two headed goals from Zinédine Zidane. The most legendary shirt in the history of Les Bleus.
  • 2000: European champions, after a final against Italy settled by David Trezeguet's golden goal.
  • 2002: the reigning world champions went out of the World Cup in Asia in the group stage without scoring a goal. A shirt that became a cult item all the same.
  • 2004: Euro 2004 in Portugal and a quarter-final defeat to Greece, with Zidane and Thierry Henry leading the team. One of the most sought-after models today.
  • 2006: the Berlin final lost on penalties to Italy, Zidane's last match.
  • 2008 and 2010: the Thierry Henry years, long France's all-time top scorer.

The Nike years, from 2011 to today

  • 2016: the home Euro, the final lost to Portugal and Antoine Griezmann as the tournament's top scorer.
  • 2018: the second star in Russia, with Griezmann, Kylian Mbappé and Paul Pogba, after a 4-2 final win over Croatia.
  • 2020 and 2022: Karim Benzema's return for the Euro played in 2021, then a World Cup final lost on penalties to Argentina.
  • 2024: shirts of the new generation, printed with the names of Rayan Cherki, Désiré Doué or Ousmane Dembélé.
